ShadowSector was founded in Melbourne in 2019 by a group of five passionate Australian gamers who were frustrated by the lack of locally-focused gaming journalism. We wanted a platform that understood the unique experience of gaming in Australia — from server latency to local tournament scenes.

What started as a small blog has grown into one of Australia's most trusted independent gaming platforms, with a team of dedicated reviewers, esports analysts, and community managers spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
